What is Postural Alignment Therapy?

Postural Alignment Therapy (PAT) is a holistic approach to wellness that gets to the root cause of your pain, mobility, balance and athletic performance issues. This could be pain from an old injury, pain while doing your job, or when participating in your favorite sport or doing chores around your home and more. Maybe you think or have been told it’s just a part of getting older. Or you have been told that you have herniated discs, or no cartilage left in your joints and your only options are to stop doing the things you love or to have surgery.

There is another option. Postural Alignment Therapy can solve pain when other modalities have failed, because it addresses your unique postural and functional issues. It utilizes simple exercises, easy to perform movements and static positions to restore posture, function and proprioception which will relieve muscle and joint pain by improving your alignment from head to toe. I work with people of all ages and fitness levels. This approach empowers you to learn how realign your own body. You know your body better than anyone else and I will help you understand what it has been trying to tell you and what to do about it.

At Kneaded Wellness Posture Therapy, we treat the whole body, not just your symptoms because your body works as a unit. Muscular imbalances in your body are pulling your bones out of alignment and causing dysfunctional movement patterns and compensations. This is the root cause of your symptoms. It’s both tight muscles and weak muscles causing these misalignments. We work on correcting the alignment of your whole body because most often where you feel the pain is not the source of it!

So Do I Need To Just "Sit Up Straight?"

What happens in one joint effects all the others.
Your whole body is connected. You cannot simply "think" your way to better postural alignment.
